Background and Experience
As a Partner for Kennedy Cottrell Richards, Ken has responsibility for the management of a variety of services provided to the firm’s clients, including State agencies, school districts, counties, cities, villages, townships, and libraries.
Prior to joining Kennedy Cottrell Richards, Ken’s firm offered technical training, consulting services, and attestation services to all levels of government. Ken has approximately nine years experience working for the Auditor of State as a financial audit manager and as a Senior Deputy Auditor in charge of the fraud division.
Ken has instructed many technical courses for the Central Ohio Chapter of the Association of Governmental Accountants, various CPA firms, and several professional societies and governments in Ohio, and he is a faculty member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
School Degree, Professional Certifications, and Designations
Ken earned his BSBA degree in Accounting from Walsh University. He is licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Ohio. Ken is also a licensed Ohio School District Treasurer.
Service to the Community
Ken is a technical review committee member for the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) where he volunteers his time to review Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFRs) for governments that participate in the award winning program. Ken serves as Treasurer for the Granville Schools Levy Committee and the Friends of the Granville Public Library.
